Cometborn, Cleric / Monk, Order of Tekk

Background. A young Cometborn man that hatched from an egg made of crystalized celestial meteorite. Diallos believes he resembles his parents that found and nursed his broken celestial egg, but much of his own past is a mystery to him. Diallos was adopted and raised by the monks of the Solari Abbey, where they realized he had a gift of prophecy. His visions were powerful and the monks taught him how to decipher them for the good of the realm. A childhood friend of Virtus Tenebris, he quickly sharpened his abilities and was selected to be a member of the Solar Scions alongside her.

Initially, the Solari Inquisition and the Ecclesia Solari thought he was too physically weak to be a Scion, but with the tutelage of the esteemed but eccentric Abbot Muho, Diallos vanquished those doubts during an intense sparring match with Virtus, demonstrating his prowess and potential in front of the heads of the Church. He became a ‘Tekkhead’ because he believes Fate is what we forge, not what we are told. He takes his role as an Oracle extremely seriously, and believes he must do his part to seek paradise.

Generally Diallos is non-confrontational and prefers to parley and seek nonviolent resolutions. He’s having doubts about the Scions as an institution, but he’s going by his own moral compass: protecting the innocent, preventing evil from going unchecked, and helping people and places flourish.

Notable Deeds.

  • Delivered the killing blow to Count von Preshons in mid-air above the Well of Souls, impaling him with his own Spear of the Damned as they both fell.
  • Was killed by Magus Xor’Ocu’s Necrosis beam during the Fomorian Invasion of Astraloftum, then revived by Finley with Revivify. He is one of the few members of the party to have experienced death firsthand.
  • Led the panicking citizens of Astraloftum to the Ark of the Trinity during the Fomorian Invasion, fulfilling his “Messiah” prophecy.
  • Won Round 1 and Round 2 of the Quadrennial Meal Festival Competition on Saturn alongside Whimsy, and was a key part of their winning Final Offering.
  • Completed his Totem of Janus, capturing the duality of the Saturn arc, continuing his ongoing Spiritcarving tradition of a totem per Titan.
  • Sparred with Thirteen on Astraloftum, and after the fight, shook hands and told Thirteen he hopes he finds absolution one day.
  • On Jupiter: helped triage the wounded Bhan-Ember fighters at the Inverted Temple, casting Detect Thoughts on Editor Rupert to expose his hidden memories of King Dumaclath, and performed Last Rites on a dying Bhan-Ember resistance fighter.

Prophecies Received.

The Drowning Prophecy (Session 4): While swimming in the Skysea, the currents of Fate pulled Diallos under, granting him his first significant vision: a mysterious Red-Haired Lady cradling an infant, a “Darkened Sun,” and the ominous “Unborn Fomorian King.”

Prince of the Comet (Session 9): In the presence of the ruby dragon Syrax, a vision washed over Diallos. Dragons flying around a central figure; its significance was immense, for it led Syrax to declare Diallos “Argahax.”

A Nightmare of Fomors (Session 11): While perusing a tome on the history of the Fomorians, the words blurred into a horrifying sight — a pit filled with countless decomposing bodies. It felt less like a holy vision and more like a waking nightmare.

Hall Trial (Session 13): Within the Hall of Scions, Diallos faced a trial of faith where he was confronted by malevolent doppelgangers of Dark Virtus and Dark Finley, who accused him of harboring doubts about the sacred mission.

Frozen Sickness (Session 14): In the midst of an unnatural blizzard in Astraloftum, Diallos was shown a chilling future: the entirety of the holy city frozen solid in time, and a vile cancer secretly devouring the Great Natu Tree from within.

A Glimpse of Defeat (Session 22): In the heat of a desperate battle against a monstrous Gem Slime, Diallos was granted a vision of his friends fallen in battle — a premonition that spurred the party to a risky but victorious final gambit.

The Devil’s Command (Session 24): Preparing to infiltrate the Natu Grove, Diallos prayed for guidance and was shown a vision of the enigmatic Vincent of Damocles commanding the Solari Inquisition’s soldiers to kneel with devilish magic.

Messiah (Session 31): Fate revealed to Diallos his role as a messiah, showing him a vision of himself leading the panicked masses of Astraloftum’s citizens to a hidden cavern, where they would discover a colossal, ancient Ark of the Trinity to serve as their salvation.

The Titan’s Peril (Session 38): Diallos saw the mighty Titan Saturn writhing in agony, ensnared by giant tentacles of “light and shadow,” and witnessed a strange, human-faced Children of Jas desperately summoning birds for aid.

The Merging (Session 44): A heavy blow from an Ogre named Hilly Billy sent Diallos’s mind reeling into the future. He saw a tall metal cage standing behind Silas Clemens and Carter Moonwing, and watched in horror as the two of them merged into a single, unified being before a Rubix Cube.

The Titan’s Burden (Sessions 46 & 48): Approaching the Elephant Spire, Diallos saw a massive, god-like hand in the sky plunging a great black spear into Janus’s back, revealing the spire’s true nature. Later, during the battle with Jaz’Farrah, he witnessed an ancient memory: the Titans themselves rising up in rebellion against the Gods — the source of Janus’s eternal penance.

The Kobold’s Past (Session 50): The rhythm of Bartholomew’s drumming sent Diallos into a trance, showing him a battlefield from a forgotten age. He saw Dragonborn generals leading a Kobold army against demonic hordes, and watched as an Emerald Kobold assumed the identity of a fallen halfling Solar Scion.

The Coming of the Comet (Rebuilding the A.R.K Story): His most recent major vision showed the arrival of the Comet of Eden: the war engines of the Martian Imperium roaring to life, the Cult of Nirvana heralding a new Fomorian King in the form of a red-haired baby, and a small band of Solar Scions — himself, Virtus, Whimsy, Arse, and three unknown strangers — igniting with the Comet’s holy power.

The Mirror Prison & The Dark Tree (Session 64): During Bartholomew’s Mirror Realm trial, Diallos knelt before the Egg of the King and communed with Tekk. He received a terrifying augury: a falling, mirror-realm version of Astraloftum, and shades gathering around a withered, Dark Natu Tree. This led him to the conclusion that the Trinity did not create the Mirror Realm merely as a reflection, but as a prison for Demons — or something far older.
