Malon

Spirit Woodcarver — Spiritcarver of the Solari Abbey

Malon is a young Spirit who inhabits a secluded cloister of the Solari Abbey in Astraloftum. She appears as a living person at first glance — quiet, talented, and deeply passionate about her craft — but Diallos eventually learned that she is not mortal at all: she is a Spirit who has chosen to remain in the world, tied to the art she loves.

Role

Malon introduced Diallos to the ancient art of Spiritcarving, a rare discipline that blends woodworking, prayer, and soul magic to create Totems from wood native to each Titan. She gave him a journal cataloging rare woods from every Titan — effectively sending him on a lifelong quest to carve a complete set of Spirit Totems.

She is gentle, curious, and genuinely delighted by Diallos’s progress as a student. Upon his return from Saturn, she marveled at his completed Totem of Janus and expressed her own wish to carve one, promising to have one ready for his next return.

Nature as a Spirit

The revelation that Malon is a Spirit — rather than a living person — raises interesting questions. Why has she remained? What is she attached to? She has shown no signs of malice or sorrow, suggesting her presence in the cloister is one of choice and purpose rather than unresolved grief.

Connection to the Soul Shepherds

Malon’s Spiritcarving quest gives Diallos a personal and spiritual mission running parallel to the main adventure: to visit every Titan and carve a Totem from its native wood. This ties her art directly to the Soul Shepherds’ journey toward Paradise.
