Dragon Soul Harvesting
The Martian Imperium is actively collecting Dragon Souls to bolster their military might. Their long-term goal appears to be constructing or empowering a Dragon army — or some other form of draconic weapon — using harvested Souls as fuel. The exact mechanism is not yet known to the Soul Shepherds.
Occupation of Emerald’s Rest
The Martian Imperium has overtaken Emerald’s Rest — the homeland of the Emerald Scourge KobolBartholomewaldwin XXIX|Bartholomew]] (Arse) and Frederick. They seek to resurrect Clorox, the Emerald Dragon, to add to their military forces. This has made the Emerald Scourge’s future — and Bartholomew’s personal quest — urgently tied to the Imperium’s defeat.
Jupiter Operations
The Martian Imperium has a presence on Jupiter through smuggling networks operating out of Hipolum-Dhrum, dealing in unrefined Orichalcum and Adamantine through the Red-Slag Syndicate. Their crates of Orichalcum were among the loot recovered from the Cloudbeard Pirates after the battle at the Theus Skyfjords.

Connection to Bartholomew’s Quest
Frederick’s recruitment into the Soul Shepherds came with a condition: help guide them to Cloudbeard first, then help him reclaim Emerald’s Rest from the Imperium. This makes the Martian Imperium a future antagonist in Bartholomew’s personal arc.
