The Unborn Fomorian King is a prophesied figure at the center of the Cult of Nirvana’s grand design: a living Phylactery of immense dark power, capable of uniting the Fomorians under a single sovereign and waging war against the Trinity and the mortal world.
The Prophecy
The Cult of Nirvana has long sought to crown an Unborn Fomorian King — an entity born of Fomorian blood but raised in the mortal world, whose soul is so fractured and burdened by the weight of countless other souls that it becomes an instrument of Nirvana’s will.
Silas as a Candidate
Count von Preshons intended his son Silas Clemens to fulfill this role. He subjected Silas to years of torture and experimentation, etching the Twilight Brand into his skin and engineering him to become a living phylactery — a vessel for souls rather than a destroyer of them. In the Count’s eyes, Silas was not meant to contain the souls of the innocent: he was meant to weaponize them.
The Fomorians Succubus known as the Servant of Nirvana confirmed this destiny during the Battle of Spider Isle, taunting Silas that he was “a failure of the Fomorians” and would never be worthy of the title. Count von Preshons echoed this sentiment before his death at the Well of Souls, implying Silas’s refusal to embrace darkness made him unfit — but hinting that Diallos might be a suitable alternative candidate.
Diallos as a Candidate
In his dying moments, Count von Preshons looked at Diallos and remarked: “My son may not have been a suitable candidate for the Fomorian King after all, but you may certainly be the one…” This cryptic statement has not yet been elaborated upon, but combined with Diallos’s Cometborn nature, his growing power, and his visions, it suggests the prophecy is not tied to a single bloodline.
The Cult’s Current Plans
Based on one of Diallos’s prophecies (The Coming of the Comet), the Cult of Nirvana is preparing to crown a new Fomorian King in the form of a red-haired baby — timed to coincide with the arrival of the Comet of Eden. This suggests the Cult has identified a new candidate entirely.
