The Saturnus Rex is a colossal, fire-breathing dinosaur that serves as the apex predator of Saturn’s jungles, inhabiting a volcanic cavern on the Titan’s body accessible through an ancient portal reinforced with obsidian runes.

A massive T-rex with volcanic properties — its roar alone is capable of freezing creatures in place with primal fear. Its body radiates intense heat, and the cavern it inhabits is filled with rivers of molten lava.

Encounter with the Soul Shepherds

The Saturnus Rex was awakened when the Soul Shepherds entered its lair, seeking to clear it as a safe zone for Beppo’s airship repair operations. In the ensuing battle:

• It swallowed Silas Clemens whole, though its struggle forced it to regurgitate him.
• Carter Moonwing, under the influence of Magi’s command, drove a javelin through Silas’s heart — ostensibly saving him from falling into lava below, but nearly killing him in the process.
• Virtus Tenebris strangWhimsicalue (‘Whimsy’)|Whimsical]]** delivered the killing blow with her cast-iron pan.
• The battle cost Silas Clemens his left arm, lost to the molten depths.
• Finley’s prayers to Natu revived Silas after the baWhimsicalue (‘Whimsy’)|Whimsical]] extracted the Saturnus Rex Heart, which she meticulously marinated over several days and used as the centerpiece of her winning dish in the Quadrennial Meal Festival.
• Carter Moonwing secured two unhatched Saturnus Rex eggs.
• Silas’s lost arm was later restored by Carter using the Magi Tablet.
