Role in the Campaign
Freedom’s Respite served as the Soul Shepherds’ base of operations for the majority of their time in Janus City, from their arrival following the Time Loop crisis through the Quadrennial Meal Festival and beyond. It was here that many pivotal conversations took place: Silas and Carter’s estrangement, Bartholomew’s confession about his true identity, and Whimsical’s emotional reunion with Joy.
A beautiful and large inn tower prominently perched on a vine-choked cliff in Janus City. The stones are a lustrous orange and yellow hue that shine bright in the moist mountain air. The bottom floor is a Tavern. The rooms spiral upwards from the outside. Each room has a balcony and a landing platform.
The Tavern & Restaurant. Behind the bartop itself (a slab of oak nearly 60’ long) is a wall of trophies – Quadrennial Meal Festival trophies dating back for hundreds of years.
