Saint Ascon Vaylin Solari was the former High Priest of the Ecclesia Solari, the immediate predecessor of High Priestess Cetra, and the longest-reigning head of the Church in over four centuries. To the public, he was a paragon: a wartime saint canonized in his own lifetime, the architect of the Church’s most secret order, the gentle voice behind a generation of doctrine. To those now sifting through the rooms he left behind, he was the rot at the center of the white walls.
