Song of Her Glory, Verbal Teachings of Natu 1:5
In this world, is the Mortal destiny controlled by some transcendental entity or law…? Is it like the hand of Natu hovering above? At least, it is true that Mortals have no control, even over their own will.
Mortals take up the Sword to shield their insecure hearts which are sustained in a far-off time beyond remembrance.
Mortals wield the Sword so that they may die smiling in some far-off time beyond perception.
Let feast the eyes of the Faithful. Know your Goddess, Heed her Command.
Sermon of Fomorians, Scrolls of Tekk 3:1
Entities of alien evil. These are the entities that choose to corrupt, encompassing all manner of fiends and aberrations. These beings are fundamentally unnatural and innately malevolent; even their presence is seen as harmful to the world. I wage my war with thy mind.
Entities of unnatural evil. These are beings once native to our world, they have been corrupted by alien forces. Undead and lycanthropes are the most obvious examples of this category – innocent people transformed into Fomorians. I maintain that undead are inherently unnatural and harm the living simply through their existence. Magi disagrees, for he argues they are simply a product of ordered chaos. I wage my war with thy body.
Entities of innate evil. This is the most contentious category on the list, and it is the race of Fomorians – Fomorians, who are evil by nature. My sister Natu disagrees, but I contest their existence is to inflict evil. Medusas, harpies, trolls, and similar entities, through no fault of their own, these creatures are vessels for supernatural evil and pose a threat to the innocent. I wage my war with thy blade.
Those who choose evil. This encompasses all humanoids who are born innocent but choose to follow an evil path. Because such beings aren’t evil by nature, the goal of the faithful should always be to lead them back to the light. I wage my war with thy heart.
The evil within. Every Souls of our realm must recognize their own capacity for evil action; only through awareness can they guard against it. The Idea of Evil is omnipresent; it is arrogant and foolish to ignore it. I wage my war with thy faith.
Edicts of Balance
- The First Law (Natu): Honor the Great Tree and the cycle of blood and soil. You shall take from the earth only what you require, and you must seed new life where you reap. Do this, and famine shall never touch your lands.
- The Second Law (Magi): Respect the ethereal weave. You must study the arcane arts with reverence and share the light of knowledge, guarding the world against the horrors of the void. Do this, and the stars will guide your path through the darkest nights.
- The Third Law (Tekk): Forge with purpose. You shall build machines to uplift the mortal condition, but never to replace the soul. Let the forge be a tool of creation, never of blind destruction. Do this, and your cities will stand unconquered by time or tide.
- The Law of Convergence: Never elevate one pillar above the others. The gears of Tekk must run clean alongside Natu’s rivers, powered by the boundless energy of Magi. To disrupt the triad is to invite oblivion.
Blessings and the Blight Keep these tenets sacred. If you walk this path, the Trinity will grant you a golden age where flesh, magic, and metal harmonize perfectly. Your crops will yield abundantly, your spells will hold true, and your engines will never falter.
Should you forsake this covenant—should the forests burn for endless factories, should magic be chained by machines, or should wild nature swallow the cities of progress—our wrath will follow. The roots will poison your wells, your spells will shatter your minds, and your automatons will march upon their creators until only dust remains.
Seal of the Trinity Let this covenant be ratified. To bind your lineage to the Trinity, you must plant a seed of iron in fertile earth, water it with a drop of your own blood, and awaken it with an arcane spark.
