A team sport similar to dodgeball using a flaming ball of condensed lava. It serves as a metaphor for Kekoa philosophy (random platforms reflect the chaotic nature of life).
- Famous Teams: Hameha’s Warriors (reigning champions), The Weastworld Ravinas (foreign champions of the tournament of 25).
Kekoa’s favorite pastime is ‘Pōpō Pele (Dwarven for Lavaball); a team sport similar to dodgeball. It uses a flaming misshapen ball made of condensed lava (created by the Dwarves) and also requires a dozen or more elevated platforms (usually pillars, boulders, or tree stumps) arranged in a random pattern. It is played with Fireproof gauntlets.
Two teams leap from platform to platform, pass the ball back and forth, and try to knock their opponents off their platforms. The sport is very popular in other cultures as well, some of the best Pōpō Pele teams are formed by Giants (for their power) and Tieflings (for their Fire Resistance), but the best teams are diverse and inclusive of different species and races, utilizing each person’s individual strengths to form a cohesive whole.
