In contrast to the Kekoa, the Dwarves on Jupiter act as chroniclers and craftsmen. They shape artifacts and carve runes into the Undershell Mountains to honor all Titans & Titanborn.
The Shellwrights
These Dwarves are responsible for creating the Islamorada (“island armor”), special Titan artifacts said to extend the Titan’s lifespans. They view their craft as a sacred duty.
Beliefs & Biology
- Set in Stone: When Dwarves die, they turn to stone. They believe in the Goddess Trix’Alleb, Lady of Rock. Their graveyards resemble galleries of lifelike statues.
- Petrification Immunity: Due to turning to stone at death, they are immune to petrification and sometimes keep Basilisks as pets.
- Titanblood Oath: A dangerous ritual where a craftsman infuses a drop of the Titan’s super-heated blood (magma) into their masterpiece. This often leads to a state of Forvivlad.
Language
- Forvivlad: Dwarvish for desperation, anguish, or complete and utter despair of flesh and bone.
