Cannoch & Fern’s Child

The Red-Haired Prophecy Child

The unborn child of Cannoch and Fern — a purple Tiefling and a red-haired half-Tiefling. Fern is currently pregnant, and Bartholomew was the first to notice during the initial encounter with the Cannoch Pirates.

The Prophecy Connection

From the planning notes for the campaign, this child carries enormous prophetic weight:

“The red hair of Diallos’s vision is not a quirk of genetics; it is The Mark. In Fomorian prophecy, a child born of the ‘Purple Twilight’ (Fern’s Tiefling coloring) and the ‘Sea’s Fury’ (Cannoch) who bears the ‘Crown of Fire’ (Red Hair) will not just be a King — he will be the Key to the Egg of the King.”

This connects directly to Diallos’s early vision of a red-haired baby — reappearing in his “Coming of the Comet” prophecy, where the Cult of Nirvana is seen heralding a new Fomorian King in the form of a red-haired infant, timed to the arrival of the Comet of Eden.

Current Status

Fern remains pregnant. She and Cannoch joined the Soul Shepherds as part of their crew following the events on the Pirate Mining Island. Their child has not yet been born.

Cannoch is now a devotee of Natu, converted during the events in the Fae Fruit Mine. Whether Fern has accepted this change of faith — and how they will respond when the prophecy implications of their child become known — remains to be seen.
